India Salary Calculator

Start from monthly gross, take-home or CTC and get the full breakdown — Basic, HRA, Conveyance, PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity and the employer's total cost to company. The same engine our payroll runs. Take-home is shown before income tax (TDS).

Your inputs

City type (HRA)
Employer cost provisions

Switch a provision off to price the role without it. Turning off PF drops the employee's own contribution too, so take-home changes with it.

How this is built.

Take-home is before income tax (TDS), which varies with declarations and regime.

India salary — frequently asked questions

CTC (cost to company) is the total an employer spends, including employer PF and gratuity. Gross is your salary before deductions. Take-home is what reaches your bank after PF, ESI and professional tax.

Take-home is gross salary minus the employee's statutory deductions — Provident Fund, ESI where applicable and professional tax. The calculator shows take-home before income tax (TDS).

Provident Fund is 12% of basic from the employee, matched by 12% from the employer. It is calculated on a basic capped at ₹15,000 unless a higher contribution is opted for.

No. Professional tax is a state levy, so the amount varies by state and a few states don't charge it at all. The calculator applies the rate for the state you select.

Take-home is shown before income tax. TDS depends on your tax regime, investments and declarations, so we keep it separate to give a clean gross-to-net statutory breakdown.
